Expected Behaviour
All participants are expected to:
- Be respectful and considerate of others
- Be inclusive and welcoming to newcomers
- Be collaborative and help others learn
- Be patient with different skill levels
- Be constructive in feedback and discussions
- Be professional in all interactions
Unacceptable Behaviour
The following behaviours are not tolerated:
Harassment and Discrimination
- Offensive comments related to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neuro(a)typicality, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, or technology choices
- Unwelcome sexual attention or advances
- Threats of violence or incitement of violence
- Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following
- Harassment of any kind, whether in public or private
Inappropriate Content
- Sexual or violent imagery or language
- Spam, trolling, or disruptive behaviour
- Sharing of inappropriate or offensive content
- Impersonation of others
Academic Integrity
- Cheating or sharing solutions during the competition
- Using automated tools to solve challenges unfairly
- Attempting to disrupt the competition platform
- Sharing flags or solutions with other teams
Competition Rules
Fair Play
- Work individually or within your registered team only
- Do not share solutions or flags with other participants
- Do not use automated tools to solve challenges
- Do not attempt to disrupt the competition platform
Collaboration Guidelines
- Help others learn without giving away solutions
- Share general knowledge and techniques
- Point others to learning resources
- Encourage and support fellow participants
Reporting Incidents
If you experience or witness harassment, discrimination, or any other violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately:

Consequences
Participants who violate this Code of Conduct may face consequences including:
- Warning: First-time minor violations
- Temporary removal: From Discord or competition
- Permanent ban: From current and future events
- Disqualification: From the competition
Appeals Process
If you disagree with a decision made by the organisers:
- Submit a written appeal to conduct@acucys.org
- Include all relevant information and evidence
- Appeals will be reviewed by a neutral committee
- Decisions will be communicated within 48 hours

This Code of Conduct will be enforced by:
- Event organisers and volunteers
- Discord moderators
- ACUCyS committee members
